Livestock Operations Manager

Livestock Operations Managers are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of livestock facilities, ensuring that animals are handled and cared for in a safe and humane manner. They work closely with veterinarians and other professionals to develop and implement animal care and welfare programs.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and handling livestock in the yards;
- Implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various export markets;
- Maintaining stock correlation and knowing proposed export destinations and market requirements;
- Ensuring correct documentation is received and identity and traceability of livestock is maintained;
- Monitoring animal welfare and reporting to quality assurance managers;
- Ensuring holding pens meet Construction and Equipment Guidelines for Export Meat;
- Preparing yard maintenance reports.
Requirements:
- Full working rights for Australia;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines;
- Sound computer skills in MS Office;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Problem-solving skills with analytical abilities;
- Good work ethic with reliability, commitment, and positive attitude.
