The Role Kiland Estate on Kangaroo Island boasts 18,500 hectares of arable land and encompasses interests including forestry, land conversion, farming, and industrial processing.
Currently, 2,500 hectares have been converted for agricultural production, with ongoing renovations of over 2,500 hectares annually to support the Estate's expansion of breeding ewe operations for meat sheep production.
As Livestock Manager, you will be a vital part of our team, working closely with the Agricultural Operations Manager and liaising with the Cropping Manager and Estate Manager.
Ideally, you will possess exceptional sheep and animal health knowledge, be innovative, and eager for progression.
You will manage a herd of 3,000 sheep, which will grow rapidly, supported by a Farm Hand.
This role requires strict adherence to company controls, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines to maintain industry standards and promote sustainable farming practices within set time frames.
Your commitment to safety and efficiency is essential for maintaining high operational standards.
