Job Description

The Pathways Team Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the team at a secondary college.

This role involves facilitating appropriate and meaningful pathways support for students through secondary school in collaboration with staff, including Year Level Leaders, Careers Advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in the coordination of work experience programs and associated tasks.
  • Assist students to source placements, collect and share data, maintain records, operate as a key contact for employers, and disseminate relevant information regarding student placements.
  • Oversee the Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) program, working in collaboration with teams to facilitate student programs.
  • Support students to access Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs, researching and maintaining current information about VET programs, setting up and maintaining the database of students involved in VET, and tracking attendance/results.
  • Liaise with students and families to facilitate School Based Apprenticeships.
  • Coordinate and oversee the SWL and Work Experience programs for Vocational pathway students, operating as a key contact for employers and disseminating relevant information regarding student placements.

The successful applicant will also work collaboratively with other Teams as necessary to support students with additional needs.
