Drill Coordinator Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to assume the role of Drill Coordinator. As a key member of our dynamic drill and blast team, you will be responsible for optimising efficiency of drilling operations and ensuring the highest standards of safe drilling practices are maintained.

This position requires a minimum of five years' experience in a Driller role on open pit, hard rock mining projects. You must have demonstrated ability to work safely within a team environment, possess leadership and mentoring skills, and exhibit high level of communication, organisational and planning skills.

  • Liaise with drill fitters and drillers to ensure all drilling equipment is functioning properly before operations begin and used correctly throughout shift.
  • Oversee all drilling operations, including training new employees and monitoring performance.
  • Manage drill consumables to maximise utilisation.

The ideal candidate will have a positive CAN-DO ATTITUDE, ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol testing, and the right to work in Australia. They must also hold a current National Police Clearance, issued within the last twelve months.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing drilling crews performing drilling operations including contractors.
  2. Monitoring drill performance against the weekly plan to ensure deadlines are met, identify and raise any issues with meeting targets.
  3. Reporting any problems encountered during drilling operations to the appropriate party for resolution.
