Expert Clinical Nurse Specialist Role Overview

The Expert Clinical Nurse Specialist is a key role within our team, providing expert advice and support to nurses and staff.

This position offers an opportunity to work closely with an experienced team of clinicians in the Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN) field.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead evidence-based practice in CFHN
  • Promote clinical excellence, research, and professional leadership in CFHN
  • Contribute to quality healthcare by collaborating with providers and consumer groups

This role requires an expert practitioner who can facilitate evidenced-based practice within CFHN, promoting a service that fosters clinical excellence, research, and professional leadership in CFHN.

Key Tasks:

  • Collaborate with health care providers and consumer groups to develop clinical practice standards
  • Evaluate outcomes and contribute to quality healthcare
  • Provide services that facilitate effective management in CFHN

You will be working with an experienced team of clinicians to ensure high-quality care close to where people live.

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the relevant nursing authority
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience in CFHN, with at least 3 years in the specialty field
  • Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to CFHN or other deemed appropriate qualifications/experience
  • A current influenza vaccination is mandatory for appointment to this position
