Job Title: Director Aeromedical Clinical Operations

Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will lead the clinical workforce within Aeromedical Operations, ensuring the delivery of contemporary, safe, and evidence-based critical care for prehospital and inter-hospital medical retrieval responses across NSW and the ACT.

You will provide expert clinical advice to senior leaders and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure rigorous review of patient outcomes and effective uptake of safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex clinical operations in prehospital and retrieval medicine and critical care settings, with additional qualifications in Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, or Anaesthesia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the clinical workforce within Aeromedical Operations
  • Provide expert clinical advice to senior leaders
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure patient safety and quality care
  • Develop and implement innovative work practices to drive clinical excellence

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Accomplished medical leader with experience managing complex clinical operations
  • Medical qualifications registrable with AHPRA
  • Additional qualifications in Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, or Anaesthesia
  • Eligibility for appointment as a Senior Staff Specialist under the Staff Specialist (State) Award
