MMG Rosebery Mine is a significant underground polymetallic base metal operation situated in Tasmania, Australia. Since its inception in 1936, it has been integral to the Rosebery community and stands as one of Tasmania's largest and longest-running underground mines, producing concentrates of zinc, copper, lead, and gold doré.

With a workforce of approximately 500 individuals and their families, we maintain a strong community presence and actively engage local businesses throughout Tasmania, contributing to the economic vitality of the West Coast region and beyond.

Position Overview:

We are seeking multiple Operators for our Mine Services Team at MMG Rosebery. This role will report to the designated Shift Supervisor and will involve specific responsibilities pertinent to your operational area.

  • Manual Loader Operations
  • Grader Operations
  • Charge Up Activities
  • Service Operations

This position operates on a 7 Days on, 7 Days off Day Shift schedule on a DIDO basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in underground mining, particularly in mechanized operations, along with familiarity with the equipment and tasks outlined above. Candidates should demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities within a team context.

As a team member, you will be expected to communicate effectively and conduct thorough handovers with supervisors, cross-shift personnel, and other relevant departments. A foundational understanding of mining objectives and priority projects is essential to ensure targets are achieved. You will be required to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritizing safety and the well-being of your colleagues.
