Senior Financial Accountant

As a seasoned financial professional, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic integration, reporting, and compliance initiatives for our finance team.

This is a key period of transformation for our organization, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to oversee month-end processes, financial data integrity, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Key responsibilities include coordinating half-year and year-end reporting, financial statements, and audit requirements, as well as liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.

Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management reporting, contributing to ERP implementation planning and other finance improvement initiatives, and delivering technical accounting advice for projects, acquisitions, and disposals.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to drive process improvements using technology and standardised practices to enhance reporting efficiency.

About the Role
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with audit experience (medium to large entities).
  • At least seven years' practical experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Strong background in corporate accounting, consolidations, and statutory reporting.
  • Experience with finance IT integrations and acquisition accounting (desirable).
  • Excellent accounting knowledge and strong analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in SAP or other major ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
