About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our New Product Development (NPD) team. As a key member of this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and evaluating new ideas that improve coating performance, meet regulatory requirements, and address unmet customer and market needs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to develop new coating technologies and improve existing products.
  • Translate consumer and market insights into new projects that support growth in traditional and adjacent markets.
  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional project teams, including coaching and training team members when required.
  • Identify technical risks, develop solutions, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sustainability, and regulatory requirements while maintaining high product quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline; advanced qualifications are highly regarded.
  • Industrial experience in coatings, paints, or related fields, with strong bench chemistry and formulation expertise.
  • A proven track record in product development, with knowledge of coatings systems such as polyurethane, epoxy, waterborne, and solvent borne technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity, anticipate risks, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
