About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with our plumbing team and contribute to delivering high-quality education.

As a plumbing teacher, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing educational practices that effectively engage learners and meet regulatory standards.
  2. Maintaining teaching materials and resources to ensure they are up-to-date and aligned with training packages.
  3. Establishing a positive learning environment that encourages students to take responsibility for their learning.
  4. Adapting learning and assessment materials for different students and environments.
  5. Undertaking administrative tasks related to the areas taught.
  6. Assisting with the development and review of teaching programs.
  7. Maintaining a respectful and safe environment free from discrimination and harassment.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualifications meeting the Standards for RTOs 2015.
  2. A Certificate III or IV in Plumbing.
  3. Registration with the Victorian Building Authority as a plumber.
  4. Proven vocational competency aligned with relevant Units of Competency.
  5. Current industry and teaching knowledge demonstrated through professional currency.
