How You Will Make an Impact

As a Tradesperson at Cabrini Health, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, functional, and high-quality environment across our facilities. You will be involved in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple areas including the carpentry workshop, infrastructure, plant, and equipment.

This is a casual role, ideal for someone seeking flexible working hours. You will be required to cover a range of shifts and fill in during periods of leave, making adaptability and reliability essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs across Cabrini Health facilities, including carpentry, minor building works, and general trades-related tasks.

  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of infrastructure, plant, and equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Work collaboratively with the Engineering and Maintenance team to deliver timely and efficient services across the hospital and other sites.

  • Conduct regular inspections and respond to maintenance requests or breakdowns in a proactive and professional manner.

  • Adhere strictly to OH&S policies and safe working practices in all aspects of your role, ensuring a safe environment for staff and patients.

About You

You are a skilled and versatile tradesperson who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and has a proactive approach to maintenance. Your ability to work independently as well as part of a team will be key to your success in this role. You will also require the following:

  • Proven experience in general maintenance and trade work, ideally within a healthcare, commercial, or industrial environment.

  • Strong practical skills in carpentry and general repairs.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

  • Sound knowledge of safe working practices and workshop procedures.

  • A current and valid Victorian Driver's Licence.

  • Relevant Trade Qualification and Trade Licence.

  • White Card (Construction Induction Card) – highly regarded.
