Business Development Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Advisor to join our team at Suncorp Group. As a key member of our commercial partnership team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with a dedicated panel of brokers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business plans and strategies to achieve retention, profitable growth, and broker satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer-focused broker service and resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key staff in broker panel offices, understanding each broker's business and aligning with service and value propositions.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities while promoting Vero | GIO W/Comp's service, value propositions, and product features.
  • Gather and share market intelligence to improve competitive positioning.
Requirements:
  • ANZIF Certificate, Diploma in Financial Services, or Degree qualification is highly regarded.
  • Successful experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative commercial partnerships, networks, and relationships.
  • Strong skills in adapting communication styles for various audiences, delivering presentations, facilitating meetings, writing proposals, and negotiating to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capability in developing and executing business plans/strategies with SMART objectives.
  • Skilled in researching and analysing information to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
