We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our Risk Advisory team based in Adelaide.

BDO's Risk Advisory Team provides a full range of risk solutions to help clients navigate diverse challenges, changes, and opportunities.

  • Risk Consulting
  • Internal Audit
  • Processes Improvement - including Process Mapping and Control Remediation
  • Third Party Assurance
  • Business Continuity and Resilience Services
  • Compliance Advisory

Our broader Adelaide Advisory Team is growing and beyond RAS, provides economic and infrastructure advisory and consulting services. This role may provide opportunity to also work across these areas.

  • Supporting the delivery of internal audits, business risk assurance and business process improvement projects in accordance with methodologies and procedures. This will include report writing and communicating with clients.
  • Recommending policy, procedural, process, system and control improvements, where identified.
  • Assisting in preparing proposals/scoping documents in response to client requests, preparing reports for projects undertaken and assisting with the development of new methodologies and service offerings.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff.

Key requirements include:

  • Experience in internal audit or related risk management or similar role.
  • Ideal background in accounting or business-related field.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of basic internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO31000).
  • Knowledge and experience in undertaking internal audits, risk assessments, risk management framework reviews etc.
  • Experience in internal auditing of basic financial processes and controls as well as internal auditing of operational processes.
