The Head of Risk role is a pivotal position within the organization. As a senior risk leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the risk function across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of risk professionals to ensure their growth and successful delivery of the risk strategy.
  • Assurance and Audit Plans: Develop and implement assurance and audit plans that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and mitigate financial and non-financial risks, embedding effective controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Partner with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Incident Management: Oversee operational incidents, conduct investigations, and implement remedial actions.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a senior risk leadership role, ideally in a financial services or disability-related industry.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex regulatory policies and implement solutions.
Qualifications
  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in a commercial discipline such as commerce, finance, accounting, law, or equivalent.
