About This Role

We're seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team at Victoria University.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring the long-term integrity, security, maintenance, and accessibility of our digital collections – both born digital and digitised.

This position drives the development and implementation of digital preservation strategies, workflows, and systems aligned with industry best practices and our Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles and Digital Preservation Competency Framework.

The Project Manager will work alongside Indigenous knowledge holders as well as IT and archiving experts to create meaningful and long-term impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing digital preservation strategies, workflows, and systems
  • Maintaining the long-term integrity, security, and accessibility of digital collections
  • Working collaboratively with Indigenous knowledge holders and IT/Archiving experts
  • Collaborating on the development of our Digital Preservation Competency Framework

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in project management and digital preservation
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
