Heritage Preservation Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Heritage Preservation Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our enthusiasm for sharing and preserving local history and heritage.
The successful candidate will develop and deliver projects that engage the community, increase understanding, and elevate the profile of our unique history.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development: Develop and deliver projects to increase understanding, appreciation, and profile of local history and heritage
- Interpretive Material: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement historical interpretive material around the municipality
- Digital Products: Develop and coordinate digital products such as self-guided tours for the Glen Eira Walking Tour App and Historian for a Day Educational Resources
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in history, heritage, museum studies, or relevant related discipline
- Experience in using Museum Collection Management System software
- Strong writing skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to work cooperatively in a small team
