Lead Clinician in Digestive Healthcare

This is a clinical management and consultation service to patients with conditions applicable to the sub-speciality of Gastroenterology.
The role will be based at Gosford Hospital and will provide emergency endoscopy procedures for Central Coast Local Health District.
A 12 month temporary position from September 2025 to September 2026 under a zero-hour sessional arrangement is available.
The ideal candidate should be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Visiting Medical Officer (State) Award.
The applicant should have strong connections with both Royal North Shore Hospital and the University of Newcastle, and be committed to EEO, OH&S, Ethical Practices and the principles of Cultural Diversity.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia
- Recognised specialist qualifications, Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or other equivalent specialist recognition
- Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Gastroenterology
- Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) conjoint approval in Panendoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS
