The Role:

This exciting opportunity is for a Retail Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day site operations of the Cooleman Court shopping centre in Canberra.

You will have previous exposure to operations or facilities management, preferably in a prior knowledge of shopping centre or retailer environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Planned Preventive Maintenance Programs
  • Maintain high-standard asset presentation
  • Manage day-to-day operations, risk, compliance, contractor management, tenancy design, capital works and budget coordination
  • Provide recommendations for improving maintenance and operational efficiencies
  • Conduct regular inspections of the entire property
  • Support centre managers in preparing annual operating and capital budgets
  • Ensure Emergency Evacuation Training and Procedures comply with regulations
  • Assist in driving sustainability goals including waste / recycling, energy, and water efficiencies
  • Focus on partnership collaboration and relationships management with contractors, tenants and clients

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial/retail/industrial (as required) facilities and/or property industry
  • Trade qualification preferable, or significant work experience and demonstrated success in a similar role or related industry
  • Valid driver's licence for performance of duties
  • Solid understanding of all facets of Facilities Management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
