About the Role

The Communications Lead – CRR is a key position that provides technical support to the construction and Test and Commissioning teams, ensuring all contract requirements are met with requisite evidence available. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing Hexagon checklists for wireless systems and PA Systems
  2. Reviewing and signing off on Hexagon acceptance of Construction Activities
  3. Providing SME guidance and advice for construction and testing & commissioning activities
  4. Ensuring network design and acceptance during configuration stages
  5. Preparing Work Instructions for wireless systems testing
  6. Preparing Telecommunications Commissioning Reports for each configuration stage
  7. Reviewing and approving Redline Markups of drawings
  8. Acting as RPEQ for Wireless System Document sign off
  9. Governing and signing off on RF testing activities for testing and commissioning
  10. Providing SME and point of contact for Lead Carrier (Telco), GWN Directorate, ETCS (Hitachi) and ERS (RIS) systems
  11. Planning and supporting the Test and Commissioning of the MTS / ERS / GWN/PS systems
  12. Conducting Quality Control reviews of installation activities
  13. Recommending and procuring testing equipment for testing
  14. Writing and updating the EMC Commissioning Report for each configuration stage
  15. Providing assurance for EMC activities for the configuration stages
  16. Investigating Standards and providing assistance with compliance for procured items
  17. Responding to ISA comments for EMC
  18. Assisting to resolve EMC related issues in Stations and Tunnel
About You

You will thrive in a technical environment and be able to solve problems. Ideally, you will have:

  1. Experience in a hands-on engineering management role
  2. Design of systems including documentation of drawings, reports, and specifications
  3. Understanding of the test and commissioning process, methods, and requirements as it relates to wireless systems
  4. Strong attention to detail
  5. Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook
  6. Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
  7. Mandatory: CPEng and ability to achieve RPEQ in an appropriate discipline
