Job Title

Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

This is a highly skilled position requiring expertise in the installation, maintenance and repair of complex electrical systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in trade qualified electrician work, with a proven ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagnose complex faults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and testing of new electrical equipment.
  • Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on generators and engine control panels.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines/generators up to 3350 KVA.
  • Modifying wiring looms/diagrams as required.
  • Commissioning of new generators/systems, transfer switches and master controllers.
  • Working closely with the Mechanical Service team to achieve shared goals.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out with a high focus on safety.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualified electrician with extensive experience in industrial factory settings.
  • Current Electrical Licence and/or Electrical contractor's license.
  • Strong understanding of control systems including PLC and relay logic.
  • Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics.
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
