About Sofar Sounds:

We're a global music community that creates intimate live music experiences in unexpected spaces. Our mission is to bring people together through music, and we're looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Show Experience Lead in Canberra.

Job Summary:

The Show Experience Lead will be responsible for supporting the execution and production of events in Canberra, working closely with our regional and local teams. This role requires a strong understanding of live music events, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously while remaining connected to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest-quality experience and safety at every Sofar show in Canberra
  • Act as a liaison between Sofar and the local community, facilitating connections and building relationships
  • Manage day-of event operations, including supplies and local gear inventory
  • Conduct venue visits and develop local events to bring the team and community together
  • Scout and recommend artists, venues, crew, and community partners that align with Sofar's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and representation
  • Work shows regularly, up to 15 per month, and be an expert on the local market, providing recommendations for improvements

Requirements:

  • Deep love of live music and connection to the local music community
  • People management experience and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while remaining connected to the team
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well with deadlines and problem-solving
  • Passionate about building and supporting local community
  • Previous experience in producing live music events, customer service, or hospitality is a plus
