We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Bay Operations Manager to join our team at Cummins Inc. in the Mildura Workshop.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentices, ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and reporting any issues or incidents to the Branch Leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians and apprentices to ensure high-quality work and efficient workflow.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth process from beginning to end.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Be a hands-on tools Supervisor from time to time.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A qualified Heavy Diesel Automotive Mechanic with experience working on engine products and Heavy On-Highway Vehicles, Kenworth, Western Star.
- Experience in using electronic troubleshooting systems and following defined OEM procedures.
- HR (Heavy Rigid License) Truck will be advantageous.
- Previous or demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring in a workshop environment.
- Effective communication and organization skills.
- Organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
