Primary SEN Support Assistant Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate support assistant to join our welcoming Ofsted-rated primary school in Bootle.
This full-time role offers the opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs, ensuring they are fully included in all aspects of school life.
As an SEN support assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
You will be supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, which may include Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
The school is proud of its inclusive ethos and is looking for someone with patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
Experience of supporting children with SEN in a school setting is essential.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting. A positive and proactive attitude is also essential.
Strong communication skills with children, staff, and parents are required. The ability to build trusting relationships and use creative strategies to engage learners is also vital.
Applicants must be committed to helping children thrive both academically and socially.
Enhanced DBS clearance, satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE guidance and safer recruitment standards are required.
