Setting: Primary School - Year 4 SEN Support
Salary: £90-£105 per day (depending on experience)

A supportive primary school in Sefton is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 4 from September. The role will focus on providing consistent 1:1 support, helping the pupil manage their behaviour, stay engaged in lessons, and build positive relationships in school.
Key Responsibilities- Providing tailored 1:1 support to a child in Year 4 with ADHD and additional needs
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting emotional regulation
- Encouraging focus, motivation and positive learning behaviours throughout the school day
- Adapting classroom tasks to meet individual needs and targets
- Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO and external agencies to provide joined-up support
- Experience supporting children with ADHD and challenging behaviour
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- A calm, consistent and nurturing approach when working with pupils
- Resilience, empathy and the ability to build trust with children who may struggle in school
- Team Teach training (or similar) is desirable but not essential
- A supportive and experienced SEN team
- Ongoing training in behaviour management and SEN support
- A welcoming and inclusive school environment
