Job Summary:

This role is an opportunity to be part of a team responsible for carrying out maintenance and construction duties related to roads, bridges, and drainage.

As a member of our team, you will be expected to perform traffic control duties when required, comply with environmental requirements and procedures, and hold the necessary qualifications and certifications.

The primary work location will be at the MidCoast Council Depot on Oak Street, Gloucester 2422, with possible assignments across other council sites in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out maintenance and construction duties related to roads, bridges, and drainage
  2. Perform traffic control duties when required
  3. Comply with environmental requirements and procedures
Requirements:
  • Hold a current NSW class C Drivers license (or higher)
  • Possess a WorkCover accredited Construction Induction Card (White Card) and demonstrate sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety procedures
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Current approved Traffic Controller's Card and Implement Traffic Control Plans Card
  • Have experience with minor plant equipment (including rollers, tractors, slashers, trucks, and watercarts)

Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol testing, sight and hearing assessments, and medical evaluations.

The salary for this position is approximately $55,910 to $61,510 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
