The Finance team at Coles Group plays a vital role in driving our business success by providing commercial insights and influencing every aspect of our operations. With a presence in every department, we analyze performance data and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.

Job Description: Financial Business Partner - REM Analytics

This role is part of the REM Finance team and involves providing fact-based financial and commercial support and insights related to supermarkets remuneration costs. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Finance and Workforce Planning teams to gather data and insights, analyzing large datasets to identify trends and maximize business opportunities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development of an accurate and insightful budget and planning processes
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities by automating and simplifying financial processes and analysis
  • Influencing business leader decision-making with fact-based, business-savvy, and innovative analysis
  • Taking ownership of forecast modeling tools, particularly Palantir
  • Providing financial support for initiatives impacting remuneration costs and project-related business cases (capital/operating expense)

We are seeking a passionate Finance Business Partner with a continuous improvement mindset and a proven track record of execution. This role requires experience working with complex organizations and the ability to simplify complex financial information for various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A CA/CPA or similar business qualification, with commercial awareness and a business focus
  • SAP and TM1 experience is preferable
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • A proven ability to challenge and influence key business stakeholders (finance and non-finance) to achieve best-in-business outcomes
