Job Summary

The Visiting Medical Officer position is available at a leading healthcare facility.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives.
  • Participate in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills in areas relevant to the role, including microsurgery and oncology surgery.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a medical practitioner.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
