About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and operational excellence in our Northern Territory office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety and Performance Management: Ensure the safety, technical, and financial performance of our Darwin office, assuming budgetary responsibilities and demonstrating clear safety leadership.
  2. Business Growth and Development: Manage the ongoing business, responsible for budget setting and delivery, contracts, capacity and resource management, and capability management.
  3. Leadership and Guidance: Provide guidance and direction to the technical team in Darwin and support teams in the day-to-day management of delivery, ensuring appropriate controls are in place and ensuring Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd is working to the highest possible standards of integrity, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  4. Strategic Problem-Solving: Produce solutions to complex strategic, contractual, technical, commercial, operational, and personnel-related challenges which impact customer service and performance.
  5. Partnership and Collaboration: Partner with our growth and development team to develop and deliver a successful strategy to achieve local growth in the Northern Territory.
Requirements
  1. Australian Citizenship or Residency: Be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia.
  2. Qualifications and Experience: Have a degree qualification in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field OR degree qualified in a commercial/business discipline with significant experience in a technical organization.
