Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Director to lead our healthcare operations on Christmas Island. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and operational management of our health service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a harmonious, multi-disciplinary approach to quality healthcare in a remote cross-cultural environment.
  • Ensure all functions of the health service operate in accordance with governance frameworks and budget allocations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the strategic direction of the health service in consultation with the Director, Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development, Transport & Communications.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accreditation standards across all functions of the health service.
Requirements
  • Leadership and operational management experience in a health service or similar function.
  • Experience in managing and implementing clinical and corporate governance systems, including accreditation standards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead an organisational culture of customer service, quality health outcomes, and continuous improvement.
