Job Title: Director of Student Wellbeing

Job Summary:

The Essington School Darwin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Student Wellbeing to join our senior leadership team. As a key member of our school community, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic approach to student wellbeing across the senior school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive wellbeing strategy that aligns with the school's vision and values
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure a cohesive approach to student wellbeing
  • Design, implement, and evaluate wellbeing policies and operations to improve student care and wellbeing
  • Support students through onboarding processes, school tours, and special events
  • Lead a team of wellbeing professionals and develop strong relationships with staff, students, and parents
  • Manage and resolve conflicts, deal with difficult situations, and student behaviors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a pastoral care role, preferably in a senior leadership position
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic wellbeing plans
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents
