Clinical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Care Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Critical Care Transfer Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality transfer care to critically unwell patients across the South West.
The role involves working closely with our dedicated 24-hour transfer team to coordinate and provide remote decision-support if required. You will be expected to assume responsibility for the specialised care required to transfer critically ill adults, following completion of the appropriate additional training.
As a band 6 transfer practitioner, you will be involved in the development of your clinical and management skills by demonstrating an ability to work remotely in the referring centres, in partnership with the local teams.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-professional team. You will be expected to support and mentor new members of the team, demonstrating an active role in the ongoing education programmes.
The successful candidate will be involved in service projects, audit, and research, delivery and completion of education and outreach. You will also be required to work shifts including nights, evenings, and weekends, with the occasional potential to overrun.
