Employment Lawyer

We are seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have experience in employment law and be able to provide strategic advice on workplace issues.
The role involves drafting, reviewing, and advising on employment contracts, policies, and procedures; advising on complex industrial relations and enterprise bargaining negotiations; providing strategic advice on workplace issues such as performance management, grievances, and terminations; interpreting legislation including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and associated regulations; running and supporting litigation matters involving unfair dismissal, general protections, and contractual disputes; and mentoring and supporting junior lawyers and graduates within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures;
- Advising on complex industrial relations and enterprise bargaining negotiations;
- Providing strategic advice on workplace issues;
- Interpreting legislation and associated regulations;
- Running and supporting litigation matters;
- Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers and graduates.
- A strong understanding of employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks;
- Experience acting in all major courts;
- Excellent drafting and communication skills;
- The ability to work closely with clients and team members;
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
