Project Lead - Infrastructure Development

As a key player in our infrastructure team, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex projects. Your expertise in project management and technical guidance will be instrumental in driving the project forward.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role requires close collaboration with on-site Supervisors to ensure efficient and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including quality assurance, safety protocols, and scheduling.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice to project teams and stakeholders on design, construction methods, and technical specifications.
  • Construction Management: Oversee the execution of construction activities, ensuring alignment with project drawings, specifications, and milestones.
  • Surveying and Procurement: Participate in and supervise surveying activities to ensure accurate layout and alignment of works, support procurement processes, cost tracking, material estimation, and administer subcontractor and purchase order documentation.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety: Implement and audit QA/QC processes, ensure inspection test plans are followed, and manage NCRs to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Environmental and Risk Management: Ensure environmentally sound design and construction practices, respond to environmental incidents, and manage compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track KPIs, schedules, resources, and forecast costs, and report to the Project Manager with progress updates and improvement recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or sufficient experience with bulk earthworks and road infrastructure works.
  • Design and Construction Projects: Previous involvement in Design and Construction projects.
  • HSQE Management: Demonstrated experience in effective HSQE management.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Infrastructure Works: Electrical and mechanical infrastructure works experience (desirable).
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead a team, influence key stakeholders, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve complex problems using logical rationale.
  • Time Management: Deadline-oriented and able to balance competing priorities, whilst working well under pressure.
  • Remote Work: Willingness/ability to work in remote locations.
  • Health and Safety Certifications: Hold a current Construction Induction Card (White Card) and pass a pre-employment medical and D&A.
