We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Estimator to join our team at Johns Lyng Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for estimating and managing building re-instatement works, working closely with our supervisors and clients to achieve set budgets.
Key Responsibilities- Attend sites and estimate for building re-instatement works, ensuring all work conforms to legislative and contractual OH&S requirements.
- Interpret scope of works provided by consultants and write scope of works documents when required.
- Work in conjunction with supervisors to achieve set budgets and build new relationships with key insurance personnel within the industry.
- Liaise with clients and insurers, coordinating access to properties and engaging sub-contractors during the quotation stage.
- Ensure all inspections, certificates, and relevant documentation is signed off.
- Building Trade or Construction Qualification.
- Estimating/Insurance Building background ideal, however not essential.
- Computer literacy and excellent communication, customer service, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client and manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Sound work ethic, drive, and energy.
- Understanding of OHS practices, legislation, regulations, and current market rates/trades.
- Current motor vehicle license.
