Overview

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects related to Supply and Install.

About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring all cost estimates are precise and based on thorough analysis. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in an Estimator role or similar within the Building and Construction industry, with a strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, materials, labour rates, and construction methods Australia wide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Estimate Preparation: Ensure all cost estimates are accurate and comprehensive, taking into account labour rates, material costs, and construction methods.
  • Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication with stakeholders, including S&I Solution Specialists, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports that provide insights into cost trends and project performance.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification or Diploma of Building and Construction or similar.
  • Experience: 3-5 years working as an Estimator within a building company responsible for whole-of-building take-off and estimates.
  • Skills: Experience with Take-Off software, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new technologies as needed.
