Violence Prevention Support Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Family Violence professional to work in our dynamic and evolving Domestic and Family Violence sector. The successful candidate will have a compassionate nature, excellent communication skills, and experience working with individuals and families experiencing trauma.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement client-led case plans that promote the best interests of each family member, ensuring their safety and appropriate development.
- Provide case management support to clients using trauma-informed frameworks, models, and standards of practice.
- Complete comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning using the MARAM framework.
- Ongoing assessment of client issues, needs, and circumstances from initial intake to exit.
- Individual case plans are developed in collaboration with clients, including a range of interventions addressing their needs or goals.
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service, and study/development.
- Relevant experience in a social service environment.
- Completed comprehensive MARAM Framework training.
- Previous experience working with individuals and families experiencing trauma, ideally in a similar Domestic and Family Violence services context.
