The Role

This dynamic opportunity exists within our team for an experienced Men's Behaviour Change Case Manager to join us on a part-time or full-time basis (0.8-0.9 EFT). As a key member of our Domestic and Family Violence team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical assessment, counselling, group-work, and therapeutic support to clients.

  • You will engage with men who perpetrate family and domestic violence, prioritising the safety needs of women and children who have experienced abuse perpetrated by the men.
  • Initiate engagement with clients through outreach activities, enhance their willingness to participate in behavioural change groups, and maintain accountability of contact with clients.
  • Cofacilitate groups and undertake one-on-one counselling, providing a range of case management processes including assessments, safety planning, case planning, maintaining engagement, family violence risk management, and post-intervention follow-up.

You will apply an intersectional feminist analysis, promote accountability, work with clients' strengths, and draw upon a robust array of case management and/or counselling models, skills, techniques, and modalities.

About You

To succeed in this challenging and rewarding role, you will require:

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other related disciplines.Previous experience in family domestic violence services, with a willingness to be trained in Men's Behaviour Change services.Experience in facilitating groups is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and case management.Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services.The ability to work autonomously.Remuneration
