Staffing Coordinator Job Description

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our workforce planning and rostering functions by working closely with stakeholders to understand factors affecting staffing plans, rostering processes, practices, and governance. The goal is to provide reliable provision of quality care across our Residential Care homes.

The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to develop effective rostering strategies that meet the needs of our Residential Care homes. This includes supporting the development of rosters, ensuring compliance with relevant awards and industrial instruments, and providing excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand factors affecting staffing plans, rostering processes, practices, and governance.
  • Support the development of effective rostering strategies to meet the needs of our Residential Care homes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, industrial instruments, and scheduling regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor when interacting with employees and stakeholders.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently to achieve goals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in scheduling/rostering or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use databases and Microsoft Office suite programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience interpreting Awards, ensuring scheduling compliance, and optimizing rosters.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.
