Electrical Infrastructure Specialist

Contribute to a pioneering project at the forefront of decarbonising industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain cable equipment, vehicles, and support systems to ensure safe and efficient delivery of enabling infrastructure for electrical excavators to meet production targets.
  • Coordinate with high-voltage electrical teams to execute switching requirements.
  • Install and manage electrical field and trailing cables, and operate cable equipment.
  • Interpret and execute cable run designs in collaboration with mine planning to position cables from pit crest transformers to excavator switches and excavators.
  • Communicate cable layouts and infrastructure details in the pit relative to electric excavators to Field Builders.
  • Ensure daily plans are adhered to for cable protection and relocation during blasting activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Operational background - minimum 2 years experience in ancillary fleet management with expertise in excavators, loaders, and dewatering operations.
  • Able to work effectively in small teams on critical path projects and undertake quality risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including WHS 2022.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, communication, and logistics skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office with working experience of SAP, BMS & SuccessFactors.
  • Ability to read and understand mine plans, identify risks, and recognize hazards.
