Electrical Infrastructure Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled Electrical Infrastructure Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in defining what it means to be a sustainable aluminium company from mines to metal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and auditing limitations of electrical infrastructure and implementing recommendations and corrective actions
- Coordinating plant services and planning requirements in supporting refinery's electrical infrastructure lifetime performance
- Administering the high voltage access permit system aligned to refinery plan to optimise isolations and restoration activities
- Maintaining level 3 high voltage switching competency and ensuring high voltage personnel maintain respective switching competencies according to organisation and regulatory compliance standards
- Working closely with customers to develop equipment maintenance strategies accountable for long term health and integrity of refinery
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or electrical trade qualification with 'A' grade electrical licence
- Level 3 high voltage switching and willingness to undertake organisation specific switching training
- Experience with maintenance and distribution, resource planning & scheduling for employee workgroups and contractors
- Experience developing risk assessments for high voltage activities
- Strong networks to facilitate and sustain efficient work practices and outcomes
- Positive contribution to safety, the environment, and workplace by complying and upholding standards and regulations
- Passion for innovation and fostering change to support cost reductions and productivity improvement initiatives
- Ability to liaise and influence across various levels of organisation
- A sound track record in pro-active problem solving with use of initiative and strong desire to continuously improve business performance
