About the Role:
  • This is an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship opportunity that reports directly to the Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit at Flinders Medical Centre, offering structured mentorship and leadership development prospects.
  • You will participate in 3 Rapid Access IBD Clinics weekly working with a Consultant and IBD Nurse, taking on independent responsibility for conducting PBS Clinics for stable IBD patients twice weekly, collaborating with an IBD Consultant where necessary.
  • You will support the IBD patient hotline nursing staff by providing advice, generating management plans and implementing these.
  • You will coordinate the IBD MDT meeting each fortnight and follow up management plans in conjunction with the Luminal Registrar.
  • You will review inpatients with IBD where necessary in conjunction with the Luminal Ward Consultant and IBD Consultant on call.
  • You will participate in teaching and research activities within the IBD and broader Gastroenterology unit as required.
  • You will attend IBD team meetings monthly and actively contribute to such meetings.

  • Possessing strong clinical skills and knowledge of gastroenterology.
  • Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrating ability to work effectively in a team environment.
