About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated educator to join our team as a Learning Facilitator at our Ipswich campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering Australian curriculum with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills for students who have a history of disengagement from schooling.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative learning strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver Australian curriculum with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills for students who have a history of disengagement from schooling.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's objectives and planning.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment.
  • Work alongside an expert adventure-based learning coordinator to deliver group programs.
  • Develop and implement integrated learning strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the accountability processes, including reporting, individual personal learning plans, and requirements for NCCD.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary supportive learning team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education or similar qualification.
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
  • Genuine interest and experience in developing and implementing innovative learning strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and in an integrated manner as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to participate in critical reflection and ongoing professional development.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
  • Experience teaching QCAA Short Courses and Applied Subjects, VET, or in a flexible learning environment.
  • Skills, training, and qualifications in Trauma-Informed Practice.
  • Outdoor Education experience and qualifications.
