**Our Purpose**

We strive to provide students with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences, enabling them to transition smoothly into adulthood, employment, further education, and training, while fostering social connectedness.

**The Role**

We are seeking an energetic and creative individual to join our existing team, contributing to the delivery of Australian curriculum with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills for students who have disengaged from schooling.

The successful applicant will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum tailored to students' needs, typically working at an upper primary or middle school level.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our objectives and planning.
  • Maintain a supportive school environment, promoting student well-being.
  • Collaborate with an expert adventure-based learning coordinator to deliver group programs.
  • Foster integrated learning, emphasizing transferable skills from the Human Capabilities Framework.
  • Participate in accountability processes, including reporting, personal learning plans, and NCCD requirements.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary team to support student learning.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education or similar qualification, accompanied by current QCT registration.
  • Genuine interest and experience in developing and implementing diverse learning choices to meet students' needs, promoting positive educational and social outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, particularly in building relationships with students at risk.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to participating in critical reflection, guided by four key principles: Respect, Safety, Honesty, and Participation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working within QCAA/QCEC/EREA requirements and accountabilities.
  • A current Queensland Driver's Licence.

**Desirable Qualifications**

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116).
  • Experience teaching QCAA Short Courses, Applied Subjects, VET, or in a flexible learning environment.
  • Skills and qualifications in Trauma-Informed Practice.
  • Outdoor Education experience and qualifications.
  • Design Technology expertise.
