About the Role:
We are seeking an energetic and creative individual to join our existing team at Ipswich Flexible School.

This is a continuing, full-time position, commencing as soon as negotiated. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering the Australian curriculum with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills for students with a history of disengagement from schooling, typically working at an upper primary or middle school level.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the school's objectives and planning.
  • Supporting the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment.
  • Collaborating with an expert adventure-based learning coordinator to deliver group programs.
  • Fostering integrated learning with an emphasis on transferable skills from the Human Capabilities Framework.
  • Contributing to accountability processes, including reporting, individual personal learning plans, and requirements for NCCD.
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary supportive learning team.
  • Teaching in small class groups.

About You:
We are looking for an applicant with a Bachelor of Education or similar qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest and experience in developing and implementing a range of learning choices to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, supporting positive educational and social outcomes.

Desirable qualifications include a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, experience teaching QCAA Short Courses and Applied Subjects, VET, or in a flexible learning environment, skills and training in Trauma-Informed Practice, Outdoor Education, and Design Technology.
