Ipswich, Australia Ipswich Girls Grammar School Full time

Term-time role, with no contact hours during term breaks
- Join a team of highly skilled educators who are committed to excellence
- Supportive School environment with a vision and values focus

As Southeast Queensland’s only co-educational primary Grammar school, Ipswich Junior Grammar provides a high quality, non-denominational education for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Ipswich Junior Grammar School’s Early Education Centre (EEC) is our fun and friendly co-educational community of young learners with an intimate, family atmosphere where children are supported to develop physically, socially, and cognitively. It is a well-resourced, caring, and vibrant environment which promotes curiosity, persistence, self-confidence, and positivity. With a Reggio Emilia approach to teaching, the EEC promotes the natural development of children as well as the close relationships they share with their environment, at the centre of its philosophy.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The EEC has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, energetic, and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join the team on a full-time basis.

As a teacher in the EEC, you will promote positive outcomes for children and families, and ensure that the learning environment is guided by the Australian Curriculum (Foundation Year), Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) as well as the ethos and values of the Centre and Ipswich Junior Grammar School.

In this role you will work alongside an energetic team of professional early years teachers and educators, who are committed to excellence and the provision of an exceptional learning environment for our students. This includes the delivery of teaching and learning programs aligned to the National Quality Framework; nurturing a supportive classroom climate which enhances student growth and confidence; and fostering collaborative partnerships with families, carers, your colleagues, and the wider School community.

To be successful in this environment we require an **ACECQA **recognised Early Childhood Teacher holding a completed Bachelor of Early Childhood, Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), or Bachelor of Primary accompanied by an Early Childhood qualification (Diploma in Early Childhood, Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood etc).

If you would like to make a difference to the lives of our young people, we would love to hear from you.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**

To be successful in this role, you will have a willingness to support the values and aims of the School, and have
- Bachelor qualifications in Education (Early Years) and current or the ability to gain registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Current knowledge or demonstrated experience working within the National quality Framework (NQF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
- The ability to promote an environment of dynamic, active, and supportive learning.
- Proven ability to develop confidence and self-esteem in students and to act as a role model in presentation, action, and communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with highly developed organisational, communication and administrative skills.
- An understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy will be highly regarded.
- Eligibility to work in Australia with relevant teaching qualifications and current registration, or eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.

Culture fit and attitude are also highly important to us, so a passion for the work you do and the ability to understand and work within our vision, mission and values is paramount to your success in this role.
