Strategic Financial Planning Lead

The Strategic Financial Planning Lead plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and profitability. This senior leadership position is responsible for leading a high-performing team to deliver strategic financial planning, analysis, and reporting across various markets.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Focus: Develop and maintain long-term plans for Corporate Markets, providing strategic insights and analysis to support decision-making for sustainable profitability.
  2. Commercial Narrative Development: Create compelling commercial narratives and inputs for senior stakeholders, including budget requirements, strategic inputs, competitive pressures, expected outcomes, goals, initiatives, key performance measures, and capital expenditure.
  3. Analysis and Reporting Excellence: Lead the development of high-quality analysis and reports for senior management, Boards, and Investor presentations.
  4. Operational Leadership: Provide financial leadership on P&Ls, delivering performance reporting within global formats to agreed timetables.
  5. Team Leadership: Develop, lead, and maintain a high-performing team, focusing on talent management, succession planning, and cultural growth.
  6. Governance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining ongoing compliance and upholding the organization's reputation.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • 8-10 years of experience in Financial Services or a similar field
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in dealing with complex matrixed environments
  • Extensive experience working with cube-based Financial Planning, Business Intelligence tools, and ERP systems
