About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Adelaide for Sedgman Pty Limited.

The successful candidate will work on various complex multi-discipline projects within the Energy, Chemicals and Minerals Processing sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop technical expertise and deliver high-quality structural engineering designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing design calculations for structural steel work and concrete and providing input to the designer team.
  • Managing tasks and deliverables within the agreed schedule and project scope.
  • Ensuring work is completed in compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
  • Cultivating a safety-focused culture and work environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Tertiary degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum 7-year structural engineering design experience.
  • Experience in Heavy Industry, Minerals Processing, Energy or Chemicals industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing design calculations.
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery from concept through to construction on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive and goal-oriented approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
