About the Position

Mater South Brisbane is seeking a dedicated Infant Mental Health Clinician to join our team on a fixed-term contract, working 32 hours per week.

The role involves delivering high-level professional clinical mental health services to infants at risk of severe and complex mental health issues, and their carer network.

  • Providing evidence-based group and individual interventions within a mother and baby unit
  • Demonstrating expertise in infant and perinatal mental health
  • Contributing to the development of best practice mental health services
  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The Senior Infant Mental Health Clinician will provide expert clinical consultancy and take a lead role in the promotion of contemporary mental health practice, with a particular focus on infant and perinatal mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high level professional clinical mental health services to infants at risk of severe and complex mental health
  • Providing evidence-based group and individual interventions within a mother and baby unit
  • Demonstrating expertise in infant and perinatal mental health
  • Contribute to the development of best practice mental health services
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in infant mental health is mandatory
  • Relevant qualification within discipline
  • Experience in provision of clinical supervision mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience in providing clinical services for complex presentations involving infants and caregivers
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and innovation skills
