Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Adviser to join our team in Crisis Planning and Response. As a key member of our division, you will provide expert advice and support to the Prime Minister and Cabinet on national preparedness and resilience issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of whole-of-government strategic all-hazards crisis management response arrangements and capabilities.
  • Develop and manage the Australian Government Crisis Management Framework (AGCMF) and oversee the PM&C Crisis Duty Officer function.
  • Represent the department at Australian Government and national crisis meetings, providing situational updates to relevant stakeholders.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and partner organizations, to achieve our goals.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in domestic policy, program delivery, and/or stakeholder engagement.
  • A strong understanding of Australia's crisis arrangements and experience in dealing with domestic and/or international crises.
  • Excellent collaboration and cooperation skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and partner agencies.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the PM&C Crisis Duty Officer function, which involves regular reporting on crises of significance to senior executives and the Prime Minister's Office.
