Project Lead - Asbestos Removal

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Lead to oversee our asbestos removal projects in Victoria. The successful candidate will manage, coordinate and contribute to all aspects of project delivery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements and project timelines.

About the Role:
  • Supervise asbestos removal teams, including assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure compliance with safety procedures during removal operations.
  • Conduct site assessments and develop asbestos removal plans according to regulatory guidelines and project needs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients and regulatory agencies to ensure clear communication and adherence to project schedules.
  • Monitor work progress and quality to ensure safe and effective removal activities.
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in asbestos removal with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Ability to produce evidence of working on at least 6 removal projects within the past 2 years is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of asbestos regulations, including OSHA, EPA and state-specific requirements.
  • Current asbestos supervisor certification/license is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and interact with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and White card are essential.
  • High Risk Work License/EWP license is preferable or ability to obtain.
  • Working at Heights and Working with Children Check are also preferable or ability to obtain.
